Physiological and agronomic study of perspective common winter wheat breeding lines
Résumé fourni par la source
Field experiment was conducted with 12 varieties and lines common winter wheat in IPGR, Sadovo during 2021 and 2023 growing periods. The gas exchange, relative chlorophyll content, morphometry of the flag leaves and yield were measured. The main objective of this study was to estimate breeding lines on response of photosynthetic activity, leaf morphometry and yield. The more intensive photosynthetic activity, presented by the parameters photosynthetic assimilation rate (A), intercellular (sub-stomatal) CO2 concentration (ci), stomatal conductance (gs) and instaneous water use efficiency (iWUE) during grain filling stage was reported for the breeding lines МH 286/1759, МH 270/28, МH 270/3461, RU 253/305 and RU 33/3244 compared to the standards Sadovo 1 and Enola. The highest values of the morphometric parameters fresh mass, dry mass and relative chlorophyll content of flag leaves were expressed at the breeding lines МH 286/1759, МH 286/1777, RU 47/3504, RU 48/2553, RU 253/305, as and standard Enola. The highest average yield was estimated for the breeding lines RU 134/1370, RU 253/305 and RU 251/268, as for lines RU 134/1370, RU253/305 were calculated significant difference compare to standards. It was determinated the more intense physiological activity correlate with higher yield in the breeding lines RU253/305, RU 47/3504, RU 48/2553 and RU 33/3244. These lines possess drought tolerance in dry period, which was strongly expressed during the flowering and grain filling phases in 2021.
