Knowledge propagation by faculties of dairy technology under MAFSU, Nagpur

Dairy technology faculty members participate in teaching, research, and extension activities such as transferring developed technology, offering technical advice, and promoting newer ways to start small businesses in dairy products to farmers and rural communities. These activities are carried out through a variety of events, including workshops, field demonstrations, farmer-scientist meetings, media campaigns, and other events. The current study was conducted with data ranging from 2010–11 to 2023–24 in order to evaluate the dissemination of information by the dairy technology faculties in the state of Maharashtra. According to the findings of the study, the academicians working in the Dairy Technology faculty under MAFSU have effectively propagated their knowledge by holding 79 seminars, workshops, and conferences; six scientific trainings for scientists and academic officers; 56 short-term trainings for farmers, small business owners, and youth who are without jobs; and 41 expert talks on radio and television between the years 2010–11 and 2023–24.
