Diffraction contrast tomography data for three-dimensional grain-boundary and slip-transfer analysis in Inconel 600

This dataset contains synchrotron X-ray diffraction contrast tomography (DCT) measurements of a polycrystalline Inconel 600 specimen acquired at the ID11 beamline of the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF). The measurements were performed to enable three-dimensional reconstruction of the grain structure and grain-boundary geometry within the investigated volume of interest. The DCT data provide crystallographic and geometrical information on individual grains, including their position, orientation, size, morphology and boundaries. The reconstructed three-dimensional grain-boundary geometry enables determination of local boundary orientations and twist angles, providing the microstructural information required to investigate geometrical conditions governing slip transfer and slip blocking across grain boundaries.
