Craniofacial Developmental Atlas of Protein Expression of the House Finch
Le résumé fourni par la source
Craniofacial development depends on the precise regulation and coordination of spatial and temporal signaling of protein pathways controlling cell proliferation, apoptosis, migration and differentiation. Spatiotemporal changes in these pathways lead to morphological differences and evolutionary change. Here we present a comprehensive atlas of protein expression and co-localization across the developing beak of the house finch (Haemorhous mexicanus). We illustrate and describe the subcellular location and intensity of protein expression across numerous developmental contexts of tissue growth and differentiation, in both the upper and lower jaws. This interactive developmental atlas should greatly contribute to better understanding of developmental specificity and evolutionary diversity in craniofacial morphogenesis.
