Replication Data for: Diet composition, and the cost and affordability of healthy diets in India: Evidence from household consumption expenditure data
Résumé fourni par la source
This replication package accompanies the manuscript “Diet composition, and the cost and affordability of healthy diets in India: Evidence from household consumption expenditure data” by Kalyani Raghunathan, Anshuman Singh, and Dipa Sinha. The repository contains the Stata programs, documentation, and supporting files required to reproduce the empirical analyses, tables, and figures presented in the paper. The replication code is organised according to the sections of the manuscript and should be run sequentially in the order described in the accompanying README file. The empirical analysis is based on the Household Consumption Expenditure Survey (HCES) 2023–24. The original HCES datasets are publicly available from the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), Government of India, and are not redistributed as part of this replication package. Researchers should obtain the original HCES datasets from MoSPI and construct the required master dataset by reshaping and merging the relevant HCES levels before running the replication code. The repository also includes Stata-format spatial files (mystate.dta and mystate_coord.dta) used exclusively for generating the all-India choropleth (heat map) figures presented in the paper.
