This document provides an accessible overview of Deliverable D9.2 – Services implementation v.1. It preserves the objectives, structure and strategic conclusions of the original deliverable while intentionally omitting detailed API specifications, endpoint definitions, payload descriptions and other implementation-level material. Deliverable D9.2 – Services Implementation v.1 represents one of the principal technical outcomes of Work Package 9 (WP9 – Services Design and Implementation) within the ARTEMIS project. Building upon the architectural baseline established in Deliverable D9.1, it documents the first implementation phase of the ARTEMIS service ecosystem and demonstrates how the initial service design has evolved into an operational, modular and integration-ready platform. The services developed within WP9 constitute the functional backbone of the ARTEMIS infrastructure. They enable heterogeneous software components, sensors, simulation engines, immersive environments and semantic resources to operate together through a common service architecture supporting monitoring, analysis, simulation, visualisation, collaboration and decision support across multiple cultural heritage scenarios. Service implementation has been carried out in close coordination with other ARTEMIS work packages. WP7 provides the infrastructure, authentication mechanisms and semantic foundations on which several services depend, while WP11 ensures that service development remains aligned with the functional requirements emerging from the pilot portfolio. This collaborative approach has progressively transformed the initial service architecture into an implementation-ready ecosystem capable of supporting future pilot validation. Compared with Deliverable D9.1, the ARTEMIS service catalogue has significantly expanded and matured. 26 new service entries have been introduced, mainly across the IoCT, Simulation and AR/VR domains, while several existing services have been refined to improve interoperability, scalability, security and platform integration. Earlier implementation choices have also been revised where more effective architectural solutions emerged during software development. The ARTEMIS ecosystem is organised around five complementary service families: IoCT and IoT Services, providing connectivity with sensors, devices and monitoring infrastructures; Simulation Services, supporting predictive analysis, environmental modelling and scenario evaluation; AR/VR Services, enabling immersive visualisation and collaborative interaction; Knowledge and Hypertext Services, organising contextual information and semantic relationships; Cataloguing Services, whose implementation will be completed during WP10 following the consolidation of the ARTEMIS ontology and Knowledge Base described in Deliverable D7.2. Together, these services establish the technological foundation required to connect cultural heritage assets with digital monitoring, simulation, immersive collaboration and knowledge management. Rather than representing isolated software components, they form a reusable ecosystem that supports different pilot scenarios while maintaining a common architectural framework. D9.2 therefore marks an important transition in the ARTEMIS project lifecycle. It documents the evolution from architectural design to operational implementation and establishes the technical baseline that will be further integrated, validated and released during WP10 – Services Revision and Use, where the service ecosystem will be assessed through real pilot deployments.
