Résumé fourni par la source

This dataset provides an atmospheric model grid computed for irradiated gas giants. The grid is generated for use as boundary conditions in planetary interior and thermal evolution models and spans a range of planetary and irradiation parameters. The atmospheric models were computed with petitCODE (Mollière et al. 2015, 2017) under the assumption of chemical equilibrium and radiative-convective equilibrium. This repository accompanies the manuscript "The effect of the atmospheric C/O ratio on interiors of hot Jupiters" (van Dijk et al., submitted), in which the grid is used to model the interiors of hot Jupiters. The manuscript describes the atmospheric model calculations, the grid structure, the parameter space, and the methodology used to generate the models. The repository contains the atmospheric model grid in the form of two csv files per grid point: The file profile_mh[metallicity (dex)]_co[C/O ratio]_teff[effective_temperature (K)]_tint[intrinsic temperature (K)]_logg[log10(surface gravity (cm/s^2)].csv contains the atmospheric profiles. The file trans_radius_mh[metallicity (dex)]_co[C/O ratio]_teff[effective_temperature (K)]_tint[intrinsic temperature (K)]_logg[log10(surface gravity (cm/s^2)].csv contains the transmission radius as a function of wavelength. Files ending in _false.csv are not completely converged and should not be used for upper atmosphere analysis. The final convergence criteria are noted as a comment in the atmospheric profile csv files. If you make use of this atmospheric model grid, please cite the accompanying publication: van Dijk et al., The effect of the atmospheric C/O ratio on interiors of hot Jupiters (submitted).
