Variability in Reporting Nanoparticles Synthesis in Dental Materials Research: A Systematic Review Based on MINCHAR and MIRIBEL Criteria

Nanomaterials are increasingly used in all areas of dentistry. However, reporting of synthesis and physicochemical characterization (e.g., particle size, zeta potential, morphology, surface charge, purity) is highly inconsistent. This lack of standardization limits reproducibility, cross-study comparison, and translation into clinical applications. Standard frameworks such as MIRIBEL and MINChar recommend minimum reporting standards, but adoption within dental literature remains unclear. Therefore, there is a need to evaluate the reporting completeness in nanomaterials research based on standard frameworks. Our study aims to achieve this.
