This article examines the pedagogical and psychological foundations of using national folklore samples to develop creative thinking among future teachers. In the modern educational environment, fostering future educators’ creative abilities, independent pedagogical decision-making skills, and professional competencies based on national and cultural values has become one of the important priorities. The study explores the educational, cognitive, and developmental potential of oral folk traditions, including proverbs, sayings, epics, legends, fairy tales, and narratives. The research scientifically substantiates the influence of folklore materials on students’ imagination, figurative thinking, problem-solving abilities, and creative approaches to professional activities. The article presents pedagogical and psychological mechanisms for integrating national folklore into the educational process and develops practical recommendations aimed at enhancing the creative potential of future teachers. The findings of the study can be applied to improve the professional training process of students in pedagogical higher education institutions.
