The text presents a historical and methodological account of the Stabu picture stone from Østre Toten and its recent digital documentation. Discovered in 1884 on the farm Stabu nedre, the stone's precise findspot is uncertain, though local tradition situates it in fields south of the avenue leading to the farmyard. Shortly after its discovery, it was moved to the farm's main house, where it attracted scholarly attention following a letter and sketches submitted by school principal S.\ Sørensen to the University's Oldsaksamling in Oslo. On this basis, Eivind S.\ Engelstad undertook field inspections in 1925 and 1933, producing photographs and tracing the figures. Although a purchase by the museum was considered in the 1930s, the stone remained on the farm until it was formally donated to the state in 2021 and incorporated into the collections of the Museum of Cultural History (MCH) with inventory number C64852. Since 2008 it has been exhibited at Mjøsmuseet, Kapp. Within MCH's long-term digitization strategy, initiated by Espen Uleberg since the 1990s, the Stabu stone has been documented using high-resolution photogrammetry techniques. Image series captured with a Sony A7R camera were processed in Agisoft Metashape to generate a metrically accurate 3D model, now accessible through the 3D-HOP viewer and integrated into MCH's ``Digitalt feltmuseum'' as part of a broader program for digital archaeological and cultural heritage dissemination.
