FAIRsharing record for: Minimum Information about a High Containment Laboratory Experiment
Résumé fourni par la source
This FAIRsharing record describes: The Minimum Information about a High Containment Laboratory Experiment (MIHCLE) is a reporting guideline developed to support transparent, reproducible, and responsible documentation of research conducted in high-containment laboratory environments. It provides a structured framework for describing experiments involving high-consequence pathogens, including information relating to biological agents, laboratory conditions, biosafety and biosecurity practices, experimental procedures, risk assessment, personnel, and regulatory compliance. MIHCLE aims to improve the quality, consistency, and comparability of reporting across Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3) and Biosafety Level 4 (BSL-4) facilities. The guideline promotes the use of standardised metadata, controlled vocabularies, and persistent identifiers to support FAIR data practices and interoperability. It is intended to complement existing biosafety, biosecurity, ethical, and regulatory frameworks by providing a common reporting structure for high-containment research conducted in academic, governmental, and industrial settings.
