Stakeholder requirements and market analysis
Résumé fourni par la source
The purpose of this document is to provide an overview of the stakeholders' requirements analysis of ZERAF, a project funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under the Grant Agreement No. 101098490. A central objective of the ZERAF project is to reduce the carbon footprint of both new and existing buildings, thereby making a substantive contribution to global climate change mitigation efforts. Realizing this objective necessitates the active participation of stakeholders throughout all stages of the process. It is therefore critical not only to identify and engage relevant stakeholders, but also to gain a comprehensive understanding of their perspectives on the market. These insights must be systematically integrated into the definition of key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring that progress is measured in ways that reflect both technical ambition and societal expectations. In this regard, the project acknowledges that technical excellence, while indispensable, is insufficient on its own; the social acceptance of proposed solutions is equally vital to achieving meaningful and enduring impact. This report comprises: (1) a comprehensive literature review and market analysis on façade, (2) identification of KPIs and stakeholders across the diverse European countries involved in the ZERAF project, (3) a stakeholder mapping that connects the stakeholders with the corresponding KPIs, emphasizing their current view on the ZERAF solution and their needs and concerns. Therefore, interviews with different stakeholders in several European countries have been carried out, translating the objectives of the ZERAF project into concrete, measurable priorities for the adoption of adaptive opaque façade technologies. This work provides a clear link between stakeholder needs, market dynamics, and relevant KPIs, ensuring that identified barriers and enablers are fully addressed. As such, this report forms a key foundation for the project, and in particular for the exploitation activities in WP1, ensuring that market opportunities and stakeholder priorities actively guide the development and implementation of ZERAF solutions.
