Typification of Four Names in the Genus Anaphalis (Asteraceae: Gnaphalieae) With Note on the Distribution of Anaphalis xylorhiza in India

ABSTRACT During an ongoing taxonomic revision of the genus Anaphalis in India, the need for typification of several names came to light. Lectotypes are designated here, in accordance with the ICN (Madrid Code), for the following four names: Anaphalis griffithii , Anaphalis virgata , Anaphalis yunnanensis , and Anaphalis xylorhiza . In addition, the distribution of A. xylorhiza in India is critically discussed and a distribution map is provided.
