Applications of spectroscopy in estimating the post-mortem interval: a scoping review

The research project focuses primarily on mapping the spectroscopy-based studies involved in estimating the post-mortem interval, studying which spectroscopic methods have been applied, what types of tissues were analyzed, the experimental models used, the sample size, the statistical methods, the environmental conditions to which the samples were subjected, the gaps in these studies, and whether a post-mortem interval could be estimated. The expected outcome is that, after mapping the current state of research on this topic, to identify the scientific gaps and tocontribute to the scientific community for further research.
