White Paper No. 006 of g² Insight Lab. This white paper locates Forensic STEM™ within the existing methodological landscape through comparative analysis of established investigative, systems-oriented, forensic, qualitative, case-based and interdisciplinary approaches. The study examines whether the developing Forensic STEM™ methodology substantially reproduces established methodological processes, represents a novel configuration of existing operations, or contains methodological features warranting further investigation as potentially distinctive contributions. The paper treats methodological novelty as an empirical and comparative question rather than an assumed property of the methodology. It therefore distinguishes conceptual resemblance, operational overlap, methodological integration and potential methodological distinctiveness while identifying areas requiring further validation. Forensic STEM™ remains an active methodology under development within the Complex Human Systems research programme of g² Insight Lab.
