Allele-specific PCR genotyping of candidate structural variants. a–d Representative gel electrophoresis images of allele-specific PCR genotyping for the four candidate insertion variants (10 bp, 18 bp, 24 bp, and 598 bp). The PCR products were resolved on agarose gels to distinguish the insertion and wild-type alleles. In each gel image, lanes 1–3 represent wild-type chickens, whereas lanes 4–6 represent mutant chickens.
