Supplement to: Viral Dissemination and Diagnostic Insights from Experimental Infection of Sheep with Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever Virus
Résumé fourni par la source
This dataset provides detailed insights into the infection dynamics of Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever virus (CCHFV) in experimentally infected sheep. All infected animals developed elevated body temperatures and viraemia, followed by seroconversion. Infectious virus was successfully isolated from serum samples. In addition, the viral genome was detected in several tissue samples, and local viral replication was demonstrated by immunohistochemistry (IHC). Finally, a CCHFV-specific cellular immune response was observed in the infected sheep. Together, these data provide a comprehensive characterization of the virological and immunological responses to experimental CCHFV infection in sheep.
