Biologging and mechanistic niche modelling reveal thermal dependence of individual lizard movement patterns
Résumé fourni par la source
Dataset: Biologging and microclimate data for Timon lepidus in semi-natural mesocosms This dataset contains the raw biologging (accelerometer, temperature, humidity, light),on-site microclimate calibration (iButton logger) and animal (weight, snout-vent length) input data associated with the study: Sioumpoura, K., Enriquez-Urzelai, U., Sillero, N., Reyes-Puig, C. & Kaliontzopoulou, K. 2026. Biologging and mechanistic niche modelling reveal thermal dependence of individual lizard movement patterns. [Journal, once accepted] Data were collected from 15 adult male ocellated lizards (Timon lepidus) equipped withAxy-Trek biologgers (accelerometer, temperature, humidity, light) and released intosemi-natural mesocosms at Castro de São Paio, northern Portugal, over seven weekly trialsbetween May and June 2022. Microclimate validation data were collected concurrently usingiButton temperature/humidity dataloggers placed at multiple microhabitats within themesocosms. Contents - `TLCRP0*.csv` — raw, unprocessed biologger output per individual (accelerometer, temperature, humidity, light), plus the shared light-reference logger dataset (`LIGHT_all.csv`)- `Timon_data.csv` — morphological data (weight, SVL) for the Timon lepidus individuals used in the analyses- `MS0*.csv` — iButton logger validation data (temperature and humidity, sun and shade conditions, multiple microhabitat depths) Related resources - Analysis code (R): https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.22019127- Published article: [DOI, once available] Contact Katerina Sioumpoura — aikaterini.sioumpoura@uniroma3.it
