Le résumé fourni par la source
Nanomaterials have transformed energy conversion and storage because of their special electrical, chemical, and physical characteristics. Their variable bandgap, quantum size effects, and high surface-to-volume ratio make them perfect for enhancing the functionality of solar cells, fuel cells, batteries, and supercapacitors, among other devices. The basic ideas of nanomaterials pertinent to energy applications are explored in this chapter, along with various kinds, such as metal oxides, perovskites, carbon-based materials, and two-dimensional materials. This includes discussion of the characterisation methods and synthesis procedures for nanostructure optimization. Additionally, the use of nanoparticles into energy devices is critically assessed, emphasizing improved durability, efficiency, and charge transport. This chapter highlights recent developments, difficulties, and potential applications of nanotechnology in sustainable energy systems to give readers a thorough understanding of the field.
