Mobile Applications and Digital Platforms for Obstructive Sleep Apnea: A Scoping Review of Diagnostic, Therapeutic, and Monitoring Technologies

This scoping review maps and synthesises the evidence base for mobile health applications and wearable digital platforms applied to obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), spanning diagnostic, therapeutic, and monitoring technologies. The review follows the Arksey and O'Malley methodological framework and is reported in accordance with the PRISMA extension for scoping reviews (PRISMA-ScR). Databases searched: PubMed/MEDLINE, IEEE Xplore, Cochrane Library, and ClinicalTrials.gov (registry search). Literature cutoff: April 30, 2025. A four-tier classification framework is proposed based on regulatory status, clinical validation, and intended use.
