Le résumé fourni par la source
Bird strikes on rotating fan blades constitute critical safety hazards in aviation, potentially inducing blade fracture, casing penetration, disk/shaft failure, and catastrophic engine malfunction, thereby severely compromising flight safety. This study introduces a novel experimental methodology implemented on a purpose-built test platform, enabling precise control of impact dynamics between high-speed rotating fan blades and avian projectiles. Through systematic optimization of the launch mechanism, impact timing synchronization protocols, and rotational speed control algorithms – coupled with integrated hardware-software synchronization and real-time blade phase prediction – the system achieves unmatched precision in simulating controlled bird strikes under realistic operational conditions. Comprehensive experimental validation confirms the platform’s efficacy and reliability, establishing a robust experimental foundation for the design and verification of foreign object damage (FOD) resistance and containment performance in turbofan engine fan assemblies and associated rotating components.
