Dataset: Modeling of Carbon Stocks in the Pantanal Biome (2000–2024)

This dataset comprises annual maps (.tif) of modeled carbon stocks across the Pantanal biome from 2000 to 2024. The maps represent the spatial distribution and temporal changes in carbon stocks over the study period. The methodological framework integrates CTrees Aboveground Biomass Carbon – Release 2026, used to derive annual aboveground biomass estimates as a proxy for carbon storage, with annual land use and land cover maps from MapBiomas Collection 10. To ensure spatial compatibility between the datasets, the MapBiomas data were resampled from 30 m to 100 m using the Nearest Neighbor algorithm, followed by grid standardization, clipping to the official Pantanal biome boundary, and pixel-by-pixel integration.
