Le résumé fourni par la source

This release of MAPL fixes a few bugs for our Python DSL work as well as issues found in using time_ave_util.x. The other bulk of changes is to better support Baselibs and Spack builds of GEOS and MAPL. For this, we now use ESMA_cmake v4.44.0. Tests show this is zero-diff to v2.70.0 This version of MAPL was tested with: Intel Fortran Classic (ifort) 2021.13 Intel Fortran (ifx) 2025.3 NOTE: oneAPI 2026.0 and 2026.1 have issues with GFE libraries and MAPL GCC 14.2.0, 15.2.0, 16.1.0 NAG 7.2 Flang 22.1 The libraries this version of MAPL is currently tested with are below. Baselibs 8.32.0 netcdf-c 4.9.2 netcdf-fortran 4.6.1 ESMF 9.0.0b10 (Note: MAPL only requires 8.6.1 at the moment) GFE 1.28.0 gFTL 1.17.0 gFTL-shared 1.12.0 pFUnit 4.19.0 (optional) fArgParse 1.11.0 (if -DBUILD_WITH_FARGPARSE=YES, default=YES) pFlogger 1.18.1 (if -DBUILD_WITH_PFLOGGER=YES, default=YES) UDUNITS2 2.2.28 Also, if you build with Baselibs and/or -DUSE_F2PY=ON, you should use (at least): ESMA_cmake v4.44.0 We recommend most external users set -DUSE_F2PY=OFF We also require CMake 3.24 or higher. From CHANGELOG.md Fixed Fixed the unreliable feedback from Python bridge failures Fixed bug that allowed ExtData2G to proceed if an invalid sampling key was provided Added field_bundle_read can now fill an empty bundle from a file that has both edge and center 3D fields (forward port of MAPL 2.57.2 fix) Changed MAPL_GridGet will now return 0 instead of 1 if the grid was never set with the "LM" attribute for the vertical grid size Removed the manual find_package(MPI)/find_package(NetCDF)/find_package(HDF5)/find_package(ESMF) block (and the Baselibs-only ESMF version guard) from the top-level CMakeLists.txt. As of ESMA_cmake v4.43.0, esma.cmake automatically include()s ConfigureBaselibs.cmake or ConfigureExternalLibraries.cmake based on Baselibs_FOUND right after include(FindBaselibs), creating all of these dependency targets for us, including enforcing a minimum ESMF version of 8.6.1 for both Baselibs and Spack/non-Baselibs builds Update components.yaml ESMA_cmake v4.44.0 Support for ESMFConfig.cmake ESMA_cmake v4.43.0 Split dependency-target creation (NetCDF, HDF5, ESMF, FMS, etc.) out of FindBaselibs.cmake into ConfigureBaselibs.cmake and ConfigureExternalLibraries.cmake; esma.cmake now include()s the appropriate one automatically based on Baselibs_FOUND Guard the historical ZLIB::zlib alias creation with if(NOT TARGET ZLIB::zlib) Only look for FMS via find_package when FV_PRECISION is defined, so projects like MAPL that don't use FMS no longer require it Enforce a minimum ESMF version for Baselibs builds (previously only enforced for Spack/non-Baselibs builds) Added an ESMA_ESMF_MIN_VERSION variable, settable before include(esma), to control the minimum ESMF version enforced for both Baselibs and Spack builds (defaults to 8.6.1) Suppress compiler -save-temps in Debug builds generated with Ninja to prevent parallel compile collisions for shared source basenames Keep ESMF wrapper link options in INTERFACE_LINK_OPTIONS rather than treating them as libraries in FindESMF.cmake Added copy_restarts() helper function to esma_regression_run_helpers.cmake for regression test restart handling Update GitHub Actions workflow dependencies (actions/checkout, actions/upload-artifact) to current major versions ESMA_cmake v4.42.0 Fix CMake 4.0 CMP0219 policy warning in esma_generate_gocart_code macro Fix f2py and f2py3 NetCDF-Fortran builds and post-build Python import tests when dependencies are supplied by Spack ESMA_cmake v4.41.0 Add new esma_install_manifest.cmake to create a manifest of installed files Added esma_add_regression_tests() macro to centralise the CMake boilerplate for registering GEOS component regression tests Added esma_sync_aws_s3_data.cmake and esma_regression_run_helpers.cmake to support S3-based regression test data Switch macOS RPATH in osx_extras.cmake from absolute to relative (@loader_path/../lib) so experiment-local install trees resolve GEOS/MAPL shared libraries correctly What's Changed Bump devops-infra/action-pull-request from 1.3.0 to 1.4.0 in the github-actions group by @dependabot[bot] in https://github.com/GEOS-ESM/MAPL/pull/5245 Auto GitFlow - main → release/v2 by @github-actions[bot] in https://github.com/GEOS-ESM/MAPL/pull/5247 Fix invalid sample key in MAPL2 by @bena-nasa in https://github.com/GEOS-ESM/MAPL/pull/5272 Forward port v2.57.2 to release/v2 by @mathomp4 in https://github.com/GEOS-ESM/MAPL/pull/5274 Bump actions/setup-python from 6 to 7 in the github-actions group by @dependabot[bot] in https://github.com/GEOS-ESM/MAPL/pull/5275 Auto GitFlow - main → release/v2 by @github-actions[bot] in https://github.com/GEOS-ESM/MAPL/pull/5277 Bump actions/stale from 10 to 11 in the github-actions group by @dependabot[bot] in https://github.com/GEOS-ESM/MAPL/pull/5284 Auto GitFlow - main → release/v2 by @github-actions[bot] in https://github.com/GEOS-ESM/MAPL/pull/5287 [v2 | PythonBridge] Fix the stack print from error/raise by @FlorianDeconinck in https://github.com/GEOS-ESM/MAPL/pull/5330 v2: Improve MAPL2 Spack library support by @mathomp4 in https://github.com/GEOS-ESM/MAPL/pull/5283 v2: Update to ESMA_cmake v4.44.0 by @mathomp4 in https://github.com/GEOS-ESM/MAPL/pull/5335 GitFlow: Merge release/v2 into main for 2.71.0 release by @mathomp4 in https://github.com/GEOS-ESM/MAPL/pull/5336 change default of MAPL_GridGet from 1 to 0 by @bena-nasa in https://github.com/GEOS-ESM/MAPL/pull/5338 change default of MAPL_GridGet from 1 to 0 (#5338) by @mathomp4 in https://github.com/GEOS-ESM/MAPL/pull/5339 Full Changelog: https://github.com/GEOS-ESM/MAPL/compare/v2.70.0...v2.71.0
