Powers of Local Self-Government Bodies in Ensuring Security on the Territory of a Municipal Formation

The article examines the powers of local governments aimed at ensuring security in the territory of a municipality. The authors prove the ability of municipalities to respond promptly to emerging threats, while drawing attention to the insufficient amount of revenue from local budgets, which does not allow modernizing the engineering and technical equipment of the municipality and ensuring the assigned powers in due volume. In this regard, there is a need for financial support from the state.
