Model configuration, input files, parameter sets, post-processed simulation output, and analysis code supporting Shirley et al., "Permafrost thaw increases lateral carbon export and reorganizes controlling processes in northern peatlands". The study uses the process-based ecosys ecosystem model and three Morris global sensitivity analyses to quantify how lateral dissolved carbon export and its environmental controls change across a permafrost thaw gradient at Stordalen Mire, northern Sweden, spanning palsa (intact permafrost), bog (degrading permafrost) and fen (permafrost-free) landcover types. Each sensitivity analysis comprises 30 Morris trajectories over 12 model inputs at six levels, giving 390 simulations per landcover and 1,170 in total, each run from 1980 to 2023 with hourly meteorological forcing. The archive contains the ecosys source code as compiled and run for this study, the complete model input decks, the parameter sets for all 1,170 simulations, the code used to generate the samples and produce every figure, and the post-processed model output needed to reproduce the reported results. The ecosys model source is the work of R. F. Grant and collaborators and is included solely to document the exact model version used. Observational active-layer and water-table data are redistributed from Crill et al. (2023), doi:10.5281/zenodo.10420396.
