Le résumé fourni par la source
Sustainable agriculture and ecosystem sustainability rely upon soil health. The objective of this review is to summarize existing information on soil health assessment models, important indicators, and novel monitoring technologies. The research also sheds light on physical, chemical and biological indicators, which are currently employed worldwide to assess the quality of soil and elaborates their significance in enhancing crop production and environmental sustainability. Recent innovations like remote sensing, Near-Infrared Reflectance Spectroscopy (NIRS), and Internet of Things (IoT)-based monitoring systems are severely analyzed. This review is important in that it offers a thorough insight into the use of soil health assessment tools by researchers, policymakers, and farmers. The future visions focus on the incorporation of more advanced technologies, place-specific management approaches, and sustainable policy interventions. The scientific community will gain as the work will show gaps in the research and society as sustainable agriculture and food security will be promoted.
