Résumé fourni par la source

Background: Clinical internship programs bridge the gap between theory and practice as students develop key competencies in diagnosing, treatment, and patient care. However, there is currently a lack of literature in the Philippine context that explores the self-perceptions of clinical instructors. Objectives: The objective of this research is to determine the perceptions of Filipino physical therapy clinical instructors affiliated with the University of Santo Tomas -College of Rehabilitation Sciences (UST-CRS) regarding their role, satisfaction, experience, and challenges, using the Clinical Preceptor Experience Evaluation tool (CPEET).Methods: A quantitative descriptive cross-sectional design will be used, and the data will be collected using CPEET.Responses will be collected using Google Forms.Physical therapy clinical instructors across 23 healthcare facilities will be invited to complete the survey between July and November 2025.Results: A total of 32 out of 52 UST-CRS-affiliated physical therapy clinical instructors who met the inclusion criteria participated in the study. The highest mean score was in the role domain (M = 6.57,SD = 0.30), followed by Satisfaction (M = 6.56,SD = 0.26), Experience and Education (M = 6.31,SD = 0.38), and Challenges (M = 5.74, SD = 1.11).Conclusion: Overall, the UST-CRS affiliated physical therapy clinical instructors perceive themselves as effective mentors and role models, as demonstrated by high scores in the role and Satisfactions domain. However, there were lower and more varied scores in the challenges domain. This can serve as a foundation in enhancing the instructors in the field of physical therapy education.
