Résumé fourni par la source

Magnetometry Survey The survey was carried out between February and June of 2025 and produced good data throughout, highlighting a small nucleus of anomalies which may be of an archaeological origin. Recti-linear and sub-circular anomalies located in the southwest of Field 2 may represent a series of small ditch enclosures and an associated circular ring-ditch feature, such as a roundhouse, potentially of Iron Age or Romano-British provenance. A number of small, positive, circular anomalies, one present in Field 2 and a group of five within Field 4, may represent pit-like features in the underlying deposits, which may be anthropogenic in origin such as extraction or refuse pits. However, localised variation in the magnetic susceptibility of the underlying geological deposits is another possible cause. A linear anomaly identified in the west of Field 4, which intersects with a recorded 19th Century boundary feature, and has also been interpreted as archaeological, likely indicating the presence of an additional unrecorded ditch boundary feature of uncertain origin, although tentatively contemporary to or predating the 19th Century. Several further recorded boundary features are also likely to be present with corresponding anomalies in the dataset, alongside probable regimes of historic cultivation, such as ridge and furrow. A small number of weak and fragmented, or isolated anomalies have also been identified and are likely to be the product of geological variation or modern agricultural activity, present within Fields 2 and 4. However, an earlier archaeological origin cannot be entirely ruled out.
