Data and R code used in generating the figures (both main text and supplementary materials) included in the article "Seawater ion incorporation effects on abiogenic calcite crystallography", to be submitted to the journal Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta. This data archive contains (1) Raman spectral data (FWHM, RS, delFWHM, delRS for v1, L, T peaks under red 785 nm and blue 457 nm excitation laser settings), minor/trace element data (Na/Ca, K/Ca, Sr/Ca, Mg/Ca, S/Ca, and B/Ca), and XRD-based unit cell lattice parameters (a- and c-axis length, unit cell volume, c/a axis length ratio) measured from inorganic calcite samples precipitated in low-ionic strength solutions with individually elevated major seawater ion concentrations and variable carbonate chemistry conditions (with boron samples being prepared by Uchikawa et al. (2015)), (2) compiled Raman spectral data and corresponding trace/minor element content (i.e., mol% MgCO3 and mol% SrCO3) from the literature, and (3) R code used to generate the main and supplementary figures shown in our related publication. Data folders are organized by figure number. Within the R code, please set the working directory accordingly with your own computer's folders, file paths, etc. Please also carefully refer to the commented lines for directions on setting up the various plotting code templates for specific figure types.
