Future Trends in Space Electronics and the Road to Interstellar Exploration
Résumé fourni par la source
Even the most advanced missions within our solar system can be accomplished using current scientific knowledge, without needing breakthroughs in fundamental science. The rapid evolution of space technology has significantly increased the demand for advanced and resilient electronic systems capable of withstanding harsh extraterrestrial environments. With the development of radiation-hardened and thermally stable components, spacecraft can now operate effectively in harsh environments such as deep space and lunar surfaces. High-speed optical communication is transforming data transmission, ensuring faster and more secure communication across vast distances. Such missions fall under the category of which relies strictly on established scientific principles. However, the situation changes drastically when it comes to interstellar exploration. Sending robotic flyby missions to nearby stars using nanoprobes is theoretically feasible with existing technology. Finally, this provides the next generation recent trends towards interstellar assessment and space electronics to go beyond realistic future technologies.
