Exploring Emotional Intelligence and Professional Quality of Life Among Nurses Caring for Older Adults with Cognitive Impairment

This scoping review aims to systematically map and synthesise existing evidence on emotional intelligence (EI) and professional quality of life (ProQOL) among nurses caring for older adults with cognitive impairment. It explores how EI and ProQOL are investigated, as well as the relationships between these constructs within this complex care context. The review also aims to identify key evidence gaps and inform future research, education, and workforce strategies to support the wellbeing of the nursing workforce caring for older adults with cognitive impairment.
