GeometryOps v0.1.43 Diff since v0.1.42 Experimental These changes are experimental, the features they represent may undergo breaking changes at any time. Added experimental planar and spherical OverlayNG. result = GO.intersection(GO.OverlayNG(), a, b) Added experimental RelateNG for boolean operations in the DE-9IM model (intersects, contains, touches, etc.) and prepared queries. hit = GO.intersects(GO.RelateNG(), a, b) Both the RelateNG and OverlayNG implementations work on Planar() and Spherical() models, e.g. OverlayNG(Spherical()). We recommend passing geometries made up of UnitSphericalPoints for spherical manifolds. Added CRS-aware area calculations by default (to disable this, call area(Planar(), ...) or area(Spherical(), ...) etc.) Added an antimeridian_split function built on top of the OverlayNG framework, which can handle e.g. rotated coordinate systems or multiple poles. We hope to expand this functionality in the future to cover more situations which regular lat-long antimeridian splitting cannot handle.
