This dataset supports the findings of a manuscript currently under review at JoVE. This dataset provides the complete computational models, imaging data, and processed fiber architectures associated with the manuscript ['Manuscript under review']. It contains all necessary assets to reproduce the patient-specific atrial electrophysiological simulations and evaluate the impact of different transmural fiber interpolation strategies. Dataset Contents 1. Imaging Data and Segmentations (folders Ale, Bas, Ero, Ost, Test, Zvag).* CT Scans: High-resolution cardiac Computed Tomography (CT) volumes in `.nrrd` format (near-isotropic resolution ~0.4x0.4x0.625 mm³). * Segmentations: Corresponding binary segmentation masks of the left atrium (LA) and surrounding structures. 2. Geometric Meshes * Surface Models: High-quality triangular meshes of the LA endocardium and epicardium.* Volumetric Models: Tetrahedral volumetric meshes of the atrial wall, incorporating realistic, spatially varying wall thickness, ready for finite element modeling. 3. Fiber Orientation Fields (openCARP format)For each volumetric model, two distinct transmural fiber configurations are provided, fully formatted for the openCARP electrophysiology simulator:* Threshold-based (Step-wise) Interpolation: Fiber orientations assigned based on discrete proximity to the endocardial or epicardial surface (abrupt transition at the mid-wall).* Linear Interpolation: Fiber orientations computed via continuous linear interpolation of 3D Cartesian vectors along the transmural coordinate (γ), ensuring smooth rotational gradients. 4. Cross-Modality Example (MRI) (folder MRI)* AtriaSeg 2018 Example: A complete processed model (segmentation, mesh, and fiber field) derived from a Late Gadolinium-Enhanced (LGE) MRI scan from the public AtriaSeg 2018 Challenge dataset. This demonstrates the pipeline's applicability across different imaging modalities (CT and MRI). Software and Formats* Imaging & Meshes: `.nrrd` files can be viewed in 3D Slicer. Surface and volumetric meshes are provided in standard formats ( `.vtk`) and can be visualized in ParaView.* Electrophysiology: Fiber fields and meshes are structured for direct use in openCARP (including `.pts`, `.lon`, and `.elem` files).
