Previously, the printing pass fetched the cells again, running the formatters and the summary row functions twice per cell. Skip the isassigned check for arrays with an isbits element type since they can never hold undefined references, halving the number of accesses to the user data. Keep the fast access path of row tables when a cell contains an undefined reference. Previously, a single undefined cell downgraded every subsequent access to the slower iterator path. Reuse a rendering buffer across the entire table in all back ends, meaning that converting a cell to a string now pays for a single allocation instead of three. Add a fast path for string cells rendered with the default :print renderer in the HTML, LaTeX, Markdown, and Typst back ends, avoiding an unnecessary sprint per cell. Fix a crash in the text back end when merged column labels were used together with show_column_labels = false. Fix a crash in the text and Markdown back ends when a table with rows but no columns was printed with summary rows. Fix typos and outdated keyword references in the documentation.
