To find out the association between study findings with selected demographic variables. 4. To develop information booklet on Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakaram. Material and Methods: A quantitative research approach with a non-experimental descriptive research design was adopted. A total of 160 antenatal mothers were selected using non-probability convenience followed by purposive sampling techniques. Results: Most participants were aged 25-28 years (51.9%), Hindu (77.5%), from joint families (59.4%), educated up to the primary level (48.1%), primipara (60.6%), housewives (78.8%), and had a monthly family income of Rs. 15,001-20,000 (60.6%). A history of stillbirth was reported by 10.6%, mainly due to birth defects, hypertension, infection, or maternal medical complications. Information regarding JSSK was received mainly from neighbours, friends, or relatives (71.3%), followed by health professionals (21.3%) and mass media (7.5%). Regarding utilization, 60% had poor utilization, 21.9% had average utilization, and 18.1% had good utilization. Regarding knowledge, 18.8% had poor knowledge, 56.9% had average knowledge, and 24.4% had good knowledge. Education, occupation, monthly family income, and source of information had a significant association with utilization (p < 0.05). Fisher’s exact test showed no significant association between knowledge and demographic variables (p>0.05). However, variables including age, education, residence, working status, and previous knowledge were reported to be associated with knowledge scores. Conclusion: Most antenatal mothers had average knowledge but poor utilization of JSSK. The study emphasized the need for an information booklet to improve awareness, and a highly significant gain in knowledge was observed after its provision.
