From Establishment to Endurance: A Critical Realist Systematic Review and Integrative Framework of the Governance and Management of Multi-Level Agricultural Innovation Platforms (2011-2026)

A PRISMA 2020 conducted, critical realist systematic review of the 2011-2026 literature on multi-level (nested, federated, epicentre-structured) agricultural innovation platforms, producing an integrative, mechanism-explicit governance and management framework via best-fit framework synthesis. The composite a priori frame draws on the foundational lineage (Dondofema & Grobbelaar 2019; Lamers et al. 2017; Schut et al. 2016), while post-2019 turns in the field (scaling, endurance, failure, digitalisation, ecosystems embedding) drive new framework components.
