Résumé fourni par la source

This dataset accompanies the manuscript "Diamond Open Access and the Data Infrastructure of Reproducibility" (Long-Fox & Poelen, submitted to Journal of Electronic Publishing special issue "The Future of Diamond Open Access: Possibilities, Perils, and Pathways"). It reports a rapid descriptive audit of the five most recently published eligible research articles (as of 15 July 2026) in each of three Diamond OA paleontology journals: Peer Community Journal (paleontology section), Palaeontologia Electronica, and Open Palaeontology. For each article, the dataset records whether a formal data availability statement (DAS) was present, the types of digital research objects reported, their storage category (e.g., disciplinary repository, preservation repository, software-development platform, journal-hosted supplementary material, museum collection database), identifier type, the number of access points tested, and whether each access point resolved directly, was located indirectly, or failed to resolve. Discrepancies between the DAS and information reported elsewhere in the article are also coded. This is a consecutive illustrative sample, not a representative sample, and classifications were performed by a single assessor; see the accompanying manuscript for full methodology and limitations.
