Résumé fourni par la source

This repository contains the de-identified epidemiological and entomological dataset supporting the research study titled: "Epidemiological impact of a dual-action insecticidal coating applied to Aedes aegypti breeding sites on dengue transmission: a cluster-randomised trial in Colombia." Data Source and Provenance The dataset comprises dengue surveillance records reported to the regional registry of Instituto Departamental de Salud (IDS) of Norte de Santander, Colombia (of SIVIGILA). These fully anonymized records were obtained under an official inter-institutional administrative agreement between the University of Freiburg and the IDS of Norte de Santander, strictly for the analytical purposes of this research project. The entomological data were compiled during the study through fieldwork. Dataset Content and Scope The database encompasses the epidemiological period from 2015 to 2022. It contains laboratory-confirmed, suspected, and hospitalized dengue cases originating exclusively from the target neighborhoods (clusters) evaluated in the study. Data Structure The provided files include essential temporal and spatial variables utilized for the trial's statistical analysis. Key variables encompass the specific disease event code, anonymized neighborhood codes, assigned study cluster, date and epidemiological week of symptom onset, and the final clinical disease classification.
