The present investigation was conducted to evaluate twenty four hybrids and their parents for yield and yield attributing traits using line x tester method. Significant variation in mean performance was noticed for all the yield and yield attributing related traits studied. Different hybrids and parents were found to be superior for different traits. Among the parents L3 had the highest fruit length (117.46 cm), T2 ( 67.11 mm) registered the highest fruit girth, L3 recorded the highest fruit weight (372.68g), the highest number of fruits per plant recorded in L4 (17.06) and L3 registered the highest yield per plant (6.37 kg) as well as the highest yield per hectare (31.86 t). The best performing hybrids for different characters include L3 x T3 (124.40 cm) recorded for the highest fruit length, the highest fruit girth was registered in L2 x T2 (55.86 mm), L3 x T1 (442.21 g) recorded the highest weight of fruit, the highest number of fruits per plant was registered in hybrid L1 x T3 (21.12) and L3 x T1 registered the highest yield per plant (9.28 kg) as well as the highest yield per hectare (46.35 t).
