Career Management Behaviors Among Teleworkers
Résumé fourni par la source
This study examined career management behaviours, according to the Kaleidoscopic Career Model, among teleworkers in the post-pandemic societies. Drawing on Hofstede's work, we explored strategic career behaviours, their antecedents (career self-efficacy) and consequents (objective and subjective career success, and career satisfaction) focusing on cultural differences individualistic (Poland) and collectivistic (Portugal) countries. The study included 428 participants spanning diverse demographics, including sex, age, and professional backgrounds. Results indicated that self-efficacy predicts strategic career behaviours and career outcomes. Strategic career behaviours predict subjective success and satisfaction, while self-efficacy, mediated by these behaviours, also influences these outcomes. These findings hold true across both individualistic and collectivistic cultures, highlighting the complex relationship between culture and career strategies in an updated scenario.
