Abstract Efficient management of urban traffic systems is a critical challenge in modern cities due to rapid population growth and increasing vehicle density. This study focuses on modeling and solving traffic flow networks using systems of linear equations implemented in Python. Traffic networks are represented as directed graphs, where intersections/signals are modelled as nodes and roads as edges. To solve this system of equations we can use various methods such as Gauss Elimination method, Gauss Jorden Elimination method, Cramer’s Rule etc. But these methods are time consuming so in this paper we used Python Programming Language to formulate and solve these linear systems efficiently.
