Dataset supporting the manuscript "Hidden Burden of arbovirus and malaria endemicity in the vicinity of the Douala International Airport-Cameroon." This repository contains the anonymized research dataset, data dictionary, and README documentation supporting the manuscript entitled: Hidden Burden of arbovirus and malaria endemicity in the vicinity of the Douala International Airport-Cameroon. The study investigated the hidden burden of malaria and arboviral infections among workers in the vicinity of the Douala International Airport, Cameroon. Data were collected during cross-sectional surveys conducted in 2023 and 2024. The repository contains the anonymized individual-level dataset used for the statistical analyses presented in the manuscript. The repository includes: Dataset.xlsx: anonymized participant-level dataset. Data_Dictionary.xlsx: detailed description of all variables, coding system, and data formats. README_Dataset.pdf: documentation describing the study design, sampling procedure, anonymization process, file organization, and instructions for data reuse. To protect participants' privacy, all direct personal identifiers were removed and replaced with anonymized participant identification codes. These data support the findings reported in the associated manuscript submitted to PLOS ONE. The dataset is made publicly available to promote transparency, reproducibility, and secondary analyses. Users are requested to cite both this Zenodo record and the corresponding published article when using these data.
