Diagnosing Quarter-Selection Artifacts in Bioclimatic Variables: BR-DWGD, WorldClim, and an SDM Sensitivity Case Study in Brazil
Résumé fourni par la source
This dataset contains derived tables, GeoTIFF rasters, and diagnostic figures comparing bioclimatic variables derived from BR-DWGD and WorldClim 2.1 for Brazil. The analyses focus on BIO08, BIO09, BIO18, and BIO19, which depend on the identity of the wettest, driest, warmest, or coldest quarter and may therefore be sensitive to quarter-identity mismatches between climate products. Outputs include BR-DWGD versus WorldClim difference statistics, spatial-block bootstrap summaries, percentile-based extreme-difference diagnostics, quarter-identity rasters, quarter-flip maps, state- and region-level summaries, manuscript-ready tables, and sensitivity analyses using p0.5–p99.5, p1–p99, and p2.5–p97.5 thresholds. The dataset is intended to support reproducibility and transparency in the evaluation of potential artifacts in quarterly bioclimatic variables used in ecological niche modelling and species distribution modelling.
