A transdimensional sampling framework for pulsar timing noise modelling This is a transdimensional Bayesian inference framework for single-pulsar noise analysis, built on the Bilby library. It flexibly models a range of noise processes, including radiometer noise, pulse-phase jitter, intrinsic red noise, and any chromatic interstellar medium effects. Other noise sources can be added using Enterprise (Nanograv) syntax. By using transdimensional techniques, tPTABilby simultaneously infers the number and type of active noise sources in a pulsar's timing data, providing a unified treatment of model selection and parameter estimation without the need to run and compare multiple fixed noise models separately. This repository contains the code associated with the paper "A transdimensional sampling framework for pulsar timing noise modelling" by Di Marco, Guttman, Miles, Zic, Shannon and Thrane (2026), available at https://arxiv.org/abs/2603.23817.
