The article provides descriptions of Phragmataecia aarviki sp.n. (Lepidoptera, Cossidae, Zeuzerinae). Holotype specimen and genitalia of the new species are illustrated. The article presents a complete catalog of representatives of the genus Phragmataecia Newman, 1850 in the African fauna.
