INTRODUCTION: Urinary tract infection in pregnant women is one of the most common and formidable causes of miscarriage. The topic of gestational pyelonephritis originates from the high prevalence (up to 10%) and the unresolved nature of a number of pathogenesis problems, namely early and timely diagnostics, accurate assessment of the severity of the inflammatory process, the effectiveness and efficiency of treatment, and the prevention of complications. Despite the great successes of practical medicine in the diagnosis and therapy of acute inflammatory kidney diseases in pregnant women, this area remains relevant to this day. Knowledge of all aspects and mechanisms of the pathological condition is possible only with a clear and deep understanding of all molecular, anatomical and metabolic interactions with the morphofunctional status of the body as an indivisible integral unit. At the same time, one of the most important aspects is to clarify the presence of relationships among the many components of the overall picture of the disease, playing significant roles in pathogenesis. OBJECTIVE: establishing the relationship between immune and oxidative disorders in gestational pyelonephritis in different trimesters of pregnancy. METHOD: ology. The study included 65 women (mean age 30.3+/-4.2 years), divided into groups: healthy women, pregnant women with pyelonephritis in the first, second and third trimesters of pregnancy. In the plasma of peripheral blood and urine, the immune status indicators and parameters characterizing the oxidant-antioxidant system were studied. After that, the correlation analysis method was used to establish the relationships between the dynamics of the immune and oxidant status indicators in each trimester of pregnancy with gestational pyelonephritis. RESULTS: Close correlations were revealed between a number of studied immune and oxidative parameters in each trimester of pregnancy in gestational pyelonephritis, which proves and clearly confirms the inherent "tension" among the parameters of immune and oxidative status. CONCLUSION: The demonstrated correlation interactions among oxidative and immunological parameters at each level deserve a justified right to be used in interpreting the severity of the pathological process, the effectiveness of the therapy and the need to implement treatment measures.
