Focal mechanism catalog supporting: Stress variability and kinematic segmentation in the Atacama segment revealed by high-quality focal mechanisms
Résumé fourni par la source
"This repository contains the dataset and configuration files supporting the manuscript titled "Stress variability and kinematic segmentation in the Atacama segment revealed by high-quality focal mechanisms". The dataset provides a high-resolution catalog of 89 focal mechanisms derived from a dense regional seismic network recorded between 2020 and 2025. The contents are structured as follows: /input_SKHASH: Contains the earthquake source parameters, P-wave polarity picks, station metadata, and the local 3D velocity model (vel_atacama.txt) used for wave propagation. It also includes the control_file.txt with all specific inversion parameters. /output_SKHASH: Includes both the raw inversion results (out_skhash.csv) for the initial 602 events and the final filtered catalog (catalog_best_results.txt) of 89 high-quality mechanisms used in the tectonic interpretation. /spherograms_best_results: Contains the individual stereograms (beachballs) for the 89 final focal mechanisms, providing visual evidence of the P-wave polarity fit. The focal mechanisms were computed using the SKHASH Python package, integrating manual picks with a 3D non-linear relocation model. This repository is provided for peer-review access. Upon acceptance of the manuscript, these data will be formally archived with a persistent DOI."
