Background. Over the past decades, a clear trend toward an increase in the incidence of tumors of the female genital organs has been recorded. This paper presents a clinical case of a giant tumor with an extremely rare retroperitoneal location. Objective of this study. To study the clinical presentation and treatment strategies for retroperitoneal tumors using a rare clinical case of giant retroperitoneal leiomyoma as an example. Study Material. A clinical observation of a patient with a giant retroperitoneal tumor was analyzed. This case highlights the importance of early diagnosis, thorough assessment of the patient's condition, and surgical intervention to ensure optimal conditions for a favorable outcome and improved quality of life. Results and Discussion. This clinical observation is of great practical interest. Knowledge of the possibility of tumor development in the retroperitoneal space will allow surgeons to conduct a comprehensive preoperative examination, including a mandatory assessment of the tumor's vascularization. Surgical treatment of such tumors requires highly trained gynecologists, but only collaborative work between outpatient and inpatient physicians will ensure successful management of patients with giant retroperitoneal tumors.
