Photosensitized Synthesis of 1,2-Iminosulfides via β-Fragmentation of Bifunctional Oxime Reagents
Le résumé fourni par la source
The regioselective photochemical 1,2-iminothiolation of olefins was achieved via the photosensitized activation of bifunctional oxime ester reagents. Central to the design of the oxime ester reagents was an ethylene linker that facilitates the rapid synthesis of reagents via a 1,4-conjugate addition pathway and ensures that the steric and electronic properties of the thiol substituent do not impede photoactivation via triplet-triplet energy transfer catalysis. Upon photochemical activation of the oxime ester reagents, N,O-homolysis, de-carboxylation and de-ethenylation simultaneously generates both a thiyl and an iminyl radical that sequentially react with olefinic reagents. Using this strategy, a diversity of thiols were readily engaged to generate valuable β-iminosulfide derivatives using mild organophotocatalysis.
