Noise as the Generative Field of Free Energy: Reformulating the Discretization Layer in the Axis-DIRX Framework

This paper proposes the N-Space Hypothesis, which reframes sensory noise (N) not as interference to be removed but as the generative building material of perceptual space itself. Redefining N as New Potential Coordinates and S as Superior Coordinates, we formalize their coupling through a Hopfield-style connection-weight equation (W_ij) whose self-organization from N alone generates the attractor space S_N that functions as the pre-existing "field" presupposed but left unexplained by Friston’s Free Energy Principle. Heterogeneity in receptor sampling rates (fps) across modalities is proposed as the condition for spatial dimensionality, extending the logic of stereoscopic disparity to multimodal integration. The hypothesis yields falsifiable predictions for sensory deprivation—hallucination as compensatory reconstruction of a collapsed spatial skeleton, not signal absence—and for human uniqueness, which is located in the densification of W_ij driven by the linear discretization of speech into phonemic units. Correspondences with Hebbian learning, sensory integration theory, and Piagetian circular reactions are outlined, together with explicit falsification conditions and current limitations.
